Vax - 18m Extension Cord + Vax Backpack Vacuum

Issue: The 18m orange extension cord can arc internally if the conductors break resulting in overheating and sparking.

Identification: VXCB-01 | Sold: 1st July 2018 – 18th March 2026

Hazards: The 18m orange extension cord can arc internally if the conductors break resulting in overheating and sparking. 

Action: Stop using the 18m orange extension cord immediately and remove it from the Vax bagged backpack vacuum.

Contact Techtronic Industries for more information and instructions on how to destroy the cord and receive a voucher to purchase a replacement cord. 

Do not return the cord to your place of purchase.

The Vax Bagged backpack vacuum cleaner unit is not being recalled and can be used without the 18m extension cord.

Please Note: only the extension cord is being recalled, the Vax Bagged backpack vacuum cleaner unit is not being recalled. The extension cord was not sold separately.

Issue: Risk of power adaptor plug breaking apart and exposing live parts.

Hazards: Electric shock risk.

Action: Stop using, switch off at power point, check batch, contact Panasonic for replacement.

Beefeater – Fridges (BS28200 & BS28130)

Issue: Fire risk due to fault in the refrigerator.

Identification: Serial: 72900000–95299999, 00100000–04599999 | Sold: Jul 2017 – Nov 2021

Hazards: Fire and injury.

Action: Turn off, unplug and contact Electrolux for a full refund.

Bissell – Cordless Wet Dry Vacuums

Issue: Electrical safety defect may cause overheating/fire.

Identification: Models: 2582H, 2588F | Sold: 1 Jun 2019 – 30 Sep 2022

Hazards: Fire or burn risk.

Action: Stop using. Register on Bissell Recall page. Return handle with pre-paid label.

Sunbeam – Aeroglide Rapid SR6370 Iron

Issue: Fails to meet Australian Safety standard 60335.2.3

Identification: Model SR6370, type 1128, date code 5216 | Sold: Jan–Jun 2017

Hazards: Safety standard failure.

Action: Return for full refund or replacement.

Breville – Fast Slow Cooker

Issue: Incorrect lid gasket may cause scalding.

Identification: BPR200 units with white silicone lid gasket (PDC 1034–1511)

Hazards: Pressure may release unexpectedly.

Action: Ensure gasket is correctly installed. Contact Breville for a free kit.

Kenwood – Food Processor

Issue: Julienne disc may detach, ingestion risk.

Issue: Electric cup holder may overheat and cause fire.

Action: Disconnect cup holder cables inside armrest.

HP – Ink Quality Issue

Issue: Cyan/yellow cartridges may have poor print quality.

Action: Return to point of sale if affected.
